With a career spanning more than four decades, Miguel Melo has been a constant presence in Portuguese cinema, theatre and television. On the big screen, he worked in films such as Portugueses by Vicente Alves do Ó, Sonhar com Leões by Paolo Marinou-Blanco, Terra Nova by Artur Ribeiro, O Leão da Estrela by Leonel Vieira, Quarta Divisão by Joaquim Leitão, Rasganço by Raquel Freire, Capitães de Abril by Maria de Medeiros, Três Irmãosby Teresa Villaverde, O Bobo by José Álvaro Morais and Oxalá by António-Pedro Vasconcelos. On television, he appeared in Salto de Fé (SIC) Festa é Festa (TVI), Terra Nova (RTP), Valor da Vida (TVI), Depois do Adeus (RTP), Conta-me Como Foi (RTP), Morangos com Açúcar (TVI), Floribella (SIC), Inspector Max (TVI),Os Malucos do Riso (SIC) and A Mulher do Sr. Ministro (RTP). On stage, he stood out in Fingido e Verdadeiro, directed by Luís Miguel Cintra. Trained at the National Conservatory of Dance and the Gulbenkian Ballet, he combines rigorous technique with recognised artistic versatility.
