Carolina Basto spent her childhood in Alcochete, where she studied ballet for seven years and violin for four years. At the age of seven, she attended the Junior Theatre Course at Teatro Taborda, as well as the educational programme of Teatro Garagem and the Young Actors Course at In Impetus, Escola de Actores. She later completed the Professional Theatre Course at Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais.She graduated in Social Communication from the Faculty of Human Sciences at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She was part of a documentary produced for the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, directed by Afonso Abreu, and appeared in the short film “Desenquadrado”, directed by Tomás Afonso.
She is currently part of the cast of the series Lua Vermelha, produced for OPTO and Prime.
