
BIO
Actress, director and writer, Joana Solnado studied acting at Escola de Teatro Multiculturas and earned a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual at Universidade Lusófona. She furthered her training in Brazil, Belgium and Malaysia. On stage, she performed in productions such as A Dona da Históriaand Noite de Enganos. In cinema, she appeared in Desvestido by Rocío Martín and A Beginning by Pablo Echart in Spain. On television, she stood out in Êta Mundo Bom!, Dona Beja, Travessia, Equador, Belmonte, Paixão, Morangos com Açúcar, and most recently Marquesa de Alorna (in post-production), working with RTP, SIC, TVI and Rede Globo. In parallel, she directed shorts and documentaries such as Contact Amazónia and Goyen Etchea. She currently divides her activity between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.
