Actor and director, Tónan Quito graduated from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, where he later taught as a guest lecturer. He began his career with 4º Período – O do Prazer, directed by António Fonseca, and has worked with leading creators such as Luís Miguel Cintra, Nuno Cardoso, Tiago Rodrigues, Jorge Andrade, Patrícia Portela, Pedro Gil, Miguel Loureiro and Marlene Monteiro Freitas. He co‑founded Companhia Truta, directing IvanovHistórias do Bosque de Viena and Anatol, and co‑created Entrelinhas with Tiago Rodrigues and Fausta with Pedro Gil. He founded HomemBala, staging Um Inimigo do PovoRicardo IIIOresteiaCasimiro e CarolinaA Vida vai Engolir‑vosA Quinta dos AnimaisA Grande Magiaand Ensaio de Orquestra. He also directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Companhia Maior and Tartufo for the NÓS/NOUS project. In film, he appeared in works by Inês Oliveira, Jorge Silva Melo, Simão Cayatte, Manuel Mozos and Tiago Guedes, and on television collaborated with Filipe Melo, João Leitão and Marco Martins. In 2019 he starred in Tristeza e Alegria na Vida das Girafas, directed by Tiago Guedes.
